The Vance House and Civil War Museum was the home of North Carolinian Governor Zebulon Vance during the time he was in exile as the American Civil War came to a close. Built in Greek Revival style, the house museum is operated by the United Daughters of the Confederacy and showcases many antique pieces from Vance's family. Located in downtown Statesville, the home is one of the oldest structures in the city, built in the mid-1800s.
